Sorry, but this product is currently out of stock or no longer available.

Cape gooseberries are a self-fertile, herbaceous perennial shrub that gets between 1 - 1.5 metres tall. Relatively easy to grow, it produces small, tasty, golden fleshy berries enclosed in papery husks. The berries are very nutritious, full of vitamins (A, B & C), rich in iron and a good source of protein. Great for eating fresh, in salads, your children will love them! Cape gooseberries can also be cooked and used in pies, tarts, sauces and jams.

Best planted in a full sun situation, in a position sheltered from strong winds and frost. They like consistent watering but only thrive in well-drained conditions. Often they do best in poor sandy (loamy) soils thriving on a bit of neglect! The perfect plant!! ;0)
